Indonesia considers to purchase S. Korea's trainer jets
JAKARTA, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian Air Force Commander Marshall Imam Syafaat said Thursday that South Korean trainer jet T- 50 Golden Eagle is the most potential option to replace the air force's Hawk Mk 53 planes that would be decommissioned in 2011.
Imam said that T-50 Golden Eagle was one of three trainer jets considered by the government to replace the British Aerospace's Hawk Mk 53 two-seater trainer/light attack jets that have been in service with Indonesian Air Force since 1980's. Indonesia operates 38 Hawk Mk 53 planes.
Best Dolce & Gabbana Shoes Online"The other two trainer jet planes considered by the government are Russian-made Yakovlev Yak 130 and Czech's Aero L159 Alca," Imam said.
The Fake Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Handbags consideration to opt the T-50 was mainly based on the planned joint production of fighter jets between the two countries that would come into force in 2012.
He said that Indonesia would take benefits if it operates the South Korean planes due to the jet plane development cooperation, which is expected to jointly produce the T-50 planes in the two countries.
According to Imam, T-50 Golden Eagle has more superior options if compared to the ones produced by Czech's Aero planemaker, L 159.
"T-50 Golden Eagle is the South Korea's fourth generation of plane production. It is fitted with more sophisticated instruments that are not found in the Czech planes," Imam said.
He said that the Russian plane, Yak 130, is considered as the last option due to the tight procedure and mechanism to purchase the plane required by Russia.

Aberavon Mp Hywel Francis has hit back at claims the Welsh Affairs Select Committee is antidevolutionist.
The Labour MP, who chairs the committee, made his comments in a statement confirming that Wales Secretary Paul Murphy has asked the committee to conduct pre-legislative scrutiny on the proposed Welsh Language Order.
Dr Francis said: "I am concerned by a recent suggestion that the Welsh Affairs Committee is anti-devolutionist.
"I have spoken of my own personal support for democratic devolution over three decades on many occasions, and my desire to see it work for the benefit of Welsh people.
Panerai Luminor Marina Automatic Mens Watch"I can also place on record the commitment of all committee members to our work on Legislative Competence Orders (LCOs) and to undertake that work thoroughly and expeditiously."
The LCO includes the right to require some private companies to use the Welsh language, including energy and telecoms firms.
Replica Marni Handbags Fake Handbags But some MPs may resist the idea that using Welsh should become a legal requirement for private firms, and the move was criticised by business leaders.
This LCO is a key part of the Labour/Plaid coalition agreement.
Any serious weakening of the order would cause tension between Cardiff Bay and Westminster.
Parmigiani watchesAny change may also cause problems between the two coalition partners in the Assembly.
Last year a row erupted between the Assembly Government and Welsh MPs over affordable housing powers in Wales.
Assembly presiding officer Lord Elis Thomas wrote to Mr Murphy and accused the Welsh Affairs Select Committee of MPs of "anti- devolution sentiment".
The MPs said that the LCO from the Assembly Government should be redrafted to be much narrower in scope.
Lord Elis Thomas said constitutionally, it was not a matter for MPs to go back over policy implications of the proposed orders.
Animated hearing debates air-screening security
OTTAWA -- Manitoba Conservative MP Shelly Glover says Canadians deserve consistency, fairness and assurances of their safety from the country's air security screening processes.
Glover comments came at a wild parliamentary committee hearing Tuesday the Tories called to probe allegations veiled Muslim women were not asked to show their faces to prove their identity when boarding an airplane. The issue was spawned by an amateur video of two women boarding a plane in Montreal without being asked to remove their veils.
Glover said numerous Canadians have since expressed to her they are afraid to fly, including a pilot who spoke to her at the Winnipeg airport when Glover was preparing to fly to Ottawa for the meeting.
"We need to alleviate the fears of Canadians," she said. She was livid the committee voted not to study Replica Christian Dior Watches the issue after a meeting that faced not only antics but fierce partisan bickering. It even included a 45-minute long battle about who would chair the meeting. Glover said opposition parties don't care about Canadians fears.
cheap_lv shoes_shop_usa_uk_53"We should be alleviating the fears of Canadians but the opposition doesn't want to talk about it," said Glover.
Liberal public safety critic Mark Holland said the Conservatives were just trying to "push people's fear buttons" and change the channel from their decision to cancel the long census.
Holland said a simple solution would be to have the transport minister ensure all airlines know they must check all passengers' identities, including veiled passengers.
"That would be a simple solution but it's not as much theatrics so there's no political reason for them to do that," he said.
Holland said the whole issue of airport screening and airline security is already being studied by the transport committee.
"They are 20 hours deep into their study," said Holland. "Why should we duplicate what another committee is doing?"
But Glover said that committee won't meet until the fall and Canadians are afraid to fly now.
"This is something Canadians are very much concerned about," she said.
Travel agencies and airlines told Postmedia News Tuesday business has not wavered following the stir caused by the video.
Glover said she called for the public safety committee to meet so it can hear what the current practices are, where the gaps are and then make suggestions to the minister.
"We need to ensure there is consistency and fairness," said Glover.

At times I've found White House press secretary Robert Gibbs to be unnecessarily irascible, and maybe his lashing out at the constant grumbling of the "professional left" wasn't the best tactic. You want the base worked up -- but for you, not about you.
Nonetheless, his basic point was spot on: The complainers from the left are, in some combination, myopic, forgetful and deranged.
Gibbs is far from the only White House official with these frustrations, but he's the first to share them on the record and, therefore, the first to walk them back. He issued a statement longer than the original offending words acknowledging that he may have spoken "inartfully" -- which is Washington-speak for honestly - - and confessing to watching "too much cable."
Moncler JacketsThat last part may be true. As to the rest of it -- Gibbs was right the first time.
"I hear these people saying he's like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested," Gibbs told the Hill's Sam Youngman, in an interview published Tuesday. "I mean, it's crazy."
This "professional left," he added, "will be satisfied when we have Canadian health care and we've eliminated the Pentagon. That's not reality."
Indeed, for all the derision from the left about the Bush administration not being "reality-based," many lefty bloggers and talking heads have failed to be reality-based in assessing the Obama administration.
Health care reform, in this glass-half-empty world, is a disappointment because it lacks a public option. The president's failure to close Guantanamo or end the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy is a betrayal. If only President Obama was willing to bang heads, name names, stand tough, he would have been able to get -- fill in the blank -- a bigger stimulus, tougher financial reform, legislation to help unions organize.
Excuse me, but can these people not count to 60? Have they somehow failed to notice that Mitch McConnell and John Boehner have not exactly been playing nice? That while Gucci Handbags the left laments Obama's minor deviations from party orthodoxy, the right has been portraying him, with some success, as an out-of-control socialist?
Apparently not. Responding to Gibbs, Jane Hamsher, of the blog Firedoglake, derided Obama's record of "corporatist capitulation" and noted, "Spiro Agnew -- sorry, Robert Gibbs -- says 'the professional left is not representative of the progressives who organized, campaigned, raised money and ultimately voted for Obama.' Well, the Obama in the White House is not representative of the Obama who organized, campaigned, raised money and ran for office, so I guess it's a wash."
Spiro Agnew? Gibbs is going to have to work on his alliterative skills to come Sergio Rossi handbags up with anything as memorable as nattering nabobs of negativism.
That the left would fall out of love with Obama was entirely predictable. "After eight years without the White House, and two years in which a Democratic majority in Congress found itself stymied in delivering on its promises, the leftward precincts of his party are not inclined toward either compromise or patience," I wrote just after the election.
What surprises me, though -- and, no doubt, what set off Gibbs -- is the venom of the liberal critics even in the face of the sustained attack on Obama from the rig

Inoue Sou, a Japanese national came to India two years ago to learn Hindustani classical vocal music. Originally, a flautist and a trained musician of the Japanese traditional music, Sou was utterly fascinated by Indian classical music.
Hermes handbagsSou learned the bansuri from Nakagawa Hiros, a disciple of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia for five years, when his guru advised him to come to India to learn vocals. He performed at a concert yesterday, which was organised by the Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal and Dhrupad Sansthan Gurukul in Bhopal, where he has learnt classical music for two years.
"My guru advised me that I should learn the vocals in order to become a better flautist and also understand Hindustani classical music. But I didn't follow his Christian Louboutin advice immediately. After five years of learning under him, I decided that I should learn the vocals," says Sou, who came to Bhopal to learn under the Dagar gharana.
He says that the traditional Japanese music has a fixed format and a set of rules. It is basically shrine music and the disciple has to imitate what the master teaches him/her. "In Hindustani classical music, the pursuer can create his/her own style and has freedom to do so. I learnt Hindi to enhance my vocal skills," says Sou, who has learnt the raag Bhupali and Yaman. Sou has also performed at a concert in Japan.
"Back in Tokyo, my family was very supportive and wanted me to follow my passion. Indian music is quite popular in Japan. The sitar and the tabla are popular instruments in my country," reveals Sou. Eyes of the golf world will be watching the return of Tiger Woods this week at the Accenture Match Play in Tucson. But for Rick Wahlin, a former BYU football player, it will take on special meaning.
cheap_Gucci Duchessa_shop_usa_uk_57When Tiger tees it up, it will have been 254 days since Woods last competed and defeated Rocco Mediate in a dramatic playoff at the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines -- a weekend during which Woods limped his way to the finish with a torn ACL and fractured leg.
Wahlin, engineering manager over creation, conception, design and performance of golf clubs for Nike Golf, was one of the few behind the scenes who knew the extent of Woods' physical condition the week of the Open. When Wahlin watched the Nike icon polish off Mediate, he felt chills go up his spine.
"He is what he is. He's awesome," said Wahlin.
It's been almost seven years since Nike hired Wahlin away from Taylormade Golf in San Diego and sent him to Fort Worth, Texas, to help put Nike seriously into the golf club business under legendary Tom Stites. Wahlin had designed the Firesole and 300 series drivers for Taylormade and is now instrumental in creating Nike's Sumo and SasQuatch drivers, including the soon-to-be released Dymo STR8-Fit.
In the highly competitive golf club arms race, you could call Rick "General Wahlin." A huge man with everything transplanted Arizonan to Texan, he's got the boots and pickup truck, he's engaging and glib, a cowboy with a little genius scientist in him.
"Yeah, I went over to the evil empire," joked Wahlin during an interview with me in Fort Worth when BYU's football team played TCU last fall.
Nike could have just bought a golf club company like Callaway or Taylormade, but it wanted to start its own operation and jump into the industry.
Nike's resources are bottomless.
The Nike Research and Development replica Jacob & Co. Watches facility in Fort Worth is a nondescript property right off a freeway exit. There is no big swoosh logo, billboard with Tiger, or anything that says Nike anywhere. It's almost a secret enclave. They call it The Oven. And secrets are kept there.
It is there Nike equipment in general and clubs specifically for Tiger Woods are designed, honed, engineered, tweaked and tested. This is where an engineer like Wahlin and his staff fine tune Woods' drivers and irons, measuring everything with the most sensitive equipment in the industry.
It is also the location where Wahlin personally witnessed two incidents that illustrate Woods' special abilities and remarkable senses and talent.
Wahlin, whose father was an All-American football player at ASU, grew up in Pinetop, Ariz., where the Sun Devil alumnus asked his dad to develop a golf course. It was there Rick was exposed to golf, mowing grass and playing it in high school.
"All I ever wanted to be is a good person and play football," said Wahlin.
He played football at Mesa Community College, served an LDS mission to Ecuador and then walked on as a linebacker on BYU's football team, playing in the Thor Salanoa, Duane Johnson and Chad Robinson era. An injury ended Wahlin's career during his sophomore season. He was designing software for power plants when Taylormade hired him.
A giant man with a flat top, Wahlin was once asked b
