The recently crowned King of the Jungle hasreturned to the kitchen after his I'm A Celebrity stint to create "fantastico" dishes for Marie Curie's Starlight Supper event on February 27.
The findraising evening will see kitchens across the country reverberate to the sound of clanging ovens and whirring blades as wannabe chefs charge family and friends a small fee to sample their lovingly created scran.
All monies raised from the event will be donated to the Big Build Appeal, the Evening Times-backed campaign to raise pound(s)16.1million to help fund a new Marie Curie hospice, based at Stobhill Hospital, in Glasgow.
The new hospice is now complete and it welcomed the first patients last month. Already the hospice has seen the huge impact the new facilities have made on patients and their loved ones. The current total now stands at pound(s)14.6m, with an further pound(s)1.5m still to raise. Which is why event like this are still vital to the completion of the hospice.
So whether your skills at the stove rank you as a borderline Albert Roux or a complete kitchen nightmare, organisers of the event, Smooth Radio, has collected recipes from a flurry of culinary celebrities to lend you an extra hand.

"I'm very proud to support the Starlight Supper and I hope people join in by hosting their own fundraising dinner party," says the chef who reveals his ideal dinner part guests would include actress Sienna Miller, television presenters Ant and Dec, singer Rod Stewart and Jesus Christ.
"There's a good choice of recipes to follow on the website," he adds, "and there should be something for everyone, however much of a novice chef you are."
Fundraisers who register to take part in the event before February 23 will receive an information pack with tips on how to be the perfect dinner party host, as well as useful accoutrements like invites, place cards and top tips from chefs.
Smooth Radio breakfast host, John McCauley has already signed up.
He said: "I think the Smooth Radio Starlight Supper is a fantastic excuse to get all your friends round for a bit of good food, company and most importantly, raise money for Marie Curie at the same time.
"Even if you've not had a dinner party before or in while, or if you don't enjoy cooking, why not get

WASHINGTON -- On Day One of his vow to take "meaningful steps to rein in our debt," Barack Obama asked Congress to freeze portions of discretionary domestic spending. This would follow an astonishing permanent expansion: Republicans on the House Budget Committee say appropriations bills Obama Lace wigs has signed, along with his stimulus spending, have increased discretionary domestic spending 84 percent. He almost certainly will not keep his promise to veto spending bills when Congress, as it almost certainly will, largely disregards his request.
On Day Two, taking a break from the rigors of austerity, he was in Tampa, Fla., promising $8 billion for high-speed rail projects there and in a dozen other places. Four days later, he released a $3.8 trillion fiscal year 2011 budget that would add another $1.3 trillion to the national debt.
The budget reveals that the deficit emergency is not so great as to preclude another stimulus, aka "jobs bill." Or to require that middle-class tax cuts enacted under The Great Alibi (George W. Bush) be allowed to expire. Or even to scrub from the budget such filigrees from olden days as $430 million for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which perhaps made some sense 42 years and 500 channels ago, when public television meant for some Americans a 33 percent increase in channels, from three to four.
The depressing minutiae of the moment pale next to two large possibilities anticipated by Robert Fogel, a Nobel Prize-winning economist. They concern the rise of American health spending and the even more dramatic rise of China's economy.
tag heuer replicaWriting last September for the online journal The American, published by the American Enterprise Institute, Fogel warned that spending on health care is going to surge, for two reasons: By living longer, Americans will become susceptible to more health problems. By becoming richer they will be able to purchase more biotechnologies that make health interventions more effective.
"The financial per capita (health care) burden at age 85 and older," Fogel wrote, "is nearly six times as high as the burden at ages 50-54" and "the financial burden of health care for ages 85 and older is over 75 percent higher per capita than at ages 75-79." A century ago, "the burden of chronic diseases among elderly Americans was not only of greater severity but began more than 10 years earlier in the life cycle than it does today."
But the severity of afflictions increases and the cost of preventing further deterioration increases with age: "Five years before the year of death, annual health cost is virtually the same as all annual Medicare costs per capita. By the second year before death the cost has risen by about 60 percent, and in the year of death the annual cost exceeds the average by more than four times. Indeed, expenditures on persons during their last two years of life account for 40 percent of all Medicare expenditures."
The 20th century radically reduced deaths due to acute infectious diseases, which were concentrated in infancy and early childhood. In 1900, more than 33 percent of all deaths were of children under 5; today they are less than 2 percent. In 1900, deaths of persons 65 and older were only 18 percent of all deaths; today they are 75 percent.
This demographic destiny might entail starving every other sector of society -- including national defense, at great cost to America's international standing. It had better not, given

For those who refuse to get excited about the chocolate-covered pink explosion that is Valentine's Day, there is another rather explosive holiday to celebrate this weekend.
The Chinese New Year moves around on a lunar calendar, and the Year of the Tiger officially begins on Sunday, Feb. 14.
Like with any horoscope, different sources predict different things for those born with stripes. But there seems to be a consensus that Tigers are among the favored zodiac symbols.
rolex replica"It's usually a good year," said Shuang-Ye Wu, principal of the Greater Dayton Chinese School. "If you want a boy, it's best that they are born in the Year of the Tiger," she said.
Wu said couples in China often try to time their pregnancies so they have children in the Year of the Tiger or the Dragon.
"Tigers are supposed to be very energetic," Wu said. She said they are considered majestic and successful.
It's not hard to see why. Out of the 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac, tigers seem like a welcome alternative to say a monkey, rat or pig.
Wu said most Chinese people don't follow the zodiac all that closely. "It's like astrology," she said. "There are still people who believe it, but I think most people really take it as fun. They don't take it very seriously."
Tigers are described as unpredictable, rebellious, daring and impulsive. However, they are also known to be affectionate, generous and sincere. They can be obstinate and stubborn to a fault.
Tigers have a tendency to jump from job to job and relationship to relationship, but they enter each new endeavor with complete passion and determination to be the best.
Tigers become stubborn if they are not in charge, but they are not motivated by money or power. They simply love to be the leader.
If you choose to believe the predictions, here are some things you should know about Tigers (most people born in the years 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998 and of course 2010):

Soy sauce has become an integral part of all our kitchens today.
Clip on hair extensionsIts flavour is hard to beat, in fact it is magical - it has the ability to rescue many dishes that would otherwise be disastrous! This sauce was discovered in China more than 2,500 years ago, and is believed to be one of the oldest condiments.
This is how the story goes - it is believed that during the 6th century, when Buddhism became popular in Japan and China, vegetarianism created the need for a meatless seasoning. What they used was a salty paste of fermented grain - the first known product to resemble the modern day soy sauce! A Japanese priest, studying in China then, came across this new seasoning. On his return to Japan, he improved on this sauce, and over the years, the Japanese modified the ingredients and its brewing techniques. The main change was the addition of wheat in equal proportion to the soybeans. This resulted in a sauce with a perfectly balanced flavour profile that enhanced other foods without over-powering them.
Although there are many types of soy sauce, all are salty and earthy tasting brownish liquids used to season food while cooking or at the table. Soy sauce forms an important part of many cuisines. Different Lace front wigs countries make different soy sauces, and it is rarely appropriate to substitute, say, Chinese soy sauce for Japanese soy sauce which is known as shoyu. The English name soy came from soi in the Satsuma dialect of Japanese. Soy sauce comes in two varieties - 'light soy sauce', which is a thin light-brown liquid, and 'dark soy sauce', which is the same thing only with caramel added for colouring and thickening. Dark soy sauce is used when it is desired that the dish be coloured, or as a dipping sauce.
There are basically two distinct types of soy sauce available today - the naturally-brewed or fermented sauce and the non-brewed sauce. The naturally-brewed soy sauce is transparent with a light colour and a wonderfully balanced flavour and aroma. The non- brewed soy sauce is basically opaque with a harsh overpowering flavour and a distinct chemical smell. When cooking with naturally-brewed soy sauce, you'll realise that this is more than just any flavouring. It has an amazing flavour that adds a depth and richness to all kinds of foods from burgers to fresh salads. I love using soy sauce in marinades and dressings. Here
embroidered patches are a few that are tried and tested:
EGGPLANT IN SESAME SOY SAUCE Ingredients: 2 long eggplants; 2 tblsps soy sauce; 1-2 tblsp olive oil; 1 tsp vinegar; ? tsp dried red chilli powder; 1 tsp grated fresh ginger; 1 tsp finely chopped garlic; 1 tsp sugar; 1 tsp toasted white sesame seeds
Method: Trim off the stem end of the eggplants. Cut them crosswise into pieces about 2 inches in length. Then place the eggplant slices onto a steamer rack and steam over medium-high heat until they are cooked through but still a bit firm or else they will become mushy.
While the eggplants are steaming, make the sauce by combining soy sauce, olive oil, vinegar, ground dried chillies, garlic, ginger and sugar. Stir well to blend flavours. Remove the eggplants from the steamer and slice each piece in half lengthwise and each half again into 2-3 long strips. Arrange the pieces in a single layer on a serving plate. Spoon the sesame-soy sauce evenly over the eggplant pieces, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. You can also garnish with fresh green coriander leaves. For Reprint Rights: timescontent.com
